When constructing your log home there are multiple ways to finish an exterior gable or dormer. A log trussed style gable provides an aesthetically pleasing look to a log home while a “post and purlin” style provides an economical and easy to finish log system.

A roof dormer add a distinctive style and balance to the upper rooflines of the structure. In addition to aesthetic appeal it is a cost effective way to increase upper floor space. Inexpensive and easily installed, our most popular dormer style includes log corner posts with 1x6 tongue and groove pine siding (see below).
