Which begs a further question: when you get a quote from a log home builder, is the quote based on what those plans show, or based on what the log builder knows should and will be included? Or will he leave that to be worked out later in the job? . . . which will mean a bunch of extra charges that you hadn't budgeted! As you can imagine, other log builders quoting on the same job may make a different guesses, making it virtually impossible to compare the quotes fairly.
